Why should I use the portal?
Exchanging data and documents through the portal is more secure than sending the same information through email or the postal service. Additionally, the portal we use integrates with our in-house software, further streamlining the processing of your tax filing.

How do I send documents to Carrell and Co CPAs with the portal?
We encourage you to utilize the portal to securely send our office confidential information. Once a document is scanned and saved on your computer, you can easily upload the file to your portal by clicking on the “Upload Files” button inside your portal folder. Our office will receive an email alert when information has been uploaded to your portal folder.

I’ve forgotten my password. What should I do?
If you forget your password, click on “Forgot Your Password?” on the login screen. An email will be sent that will allow you to reset your password. If you need further assistance, please contact our office.

My email address has changed. What should I do?
Please notify our office so we can update your portal account information.

Why do I receive an email every time something is uploaded to or downloaded from my portal?
Please find the section inside your portal folder that reads, “Email me whenever a file is: Downloaded to this folder or Uploaded to this folder,” and remove the checkmark from the box. This will turn off the function that is sending automatic email alerts. Our office manually sends an email to you when we place information in your portal.

What security measures are there to protect my data?
The portal has many features to maintain the security of your data, with security standards surpassing those required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. The data resides on guarded servers located in the United States, and file transfers are encrypted over secure connections that meet all standards of care required by the IRS. Your account is unique to you, with multiple firewalls built around your portal to restrict access to only the owner of the account, and authorized users in our firm.
